Job Description

Overview

  • This position will oversee and supervise the security administration to include personnel, physical and industrial security. This position will be responsible for the oversight of training and enforcement of security policies within the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Responsible for a wide range of duties, including ensuring security programs and policies are administered, up-to-date and distributed to the appropriate offices within the operating locations, assisting personnel with Security Clearance related issues, and tracking of applicants status using G2 Adjudication Systems database. The Security Supervisor must have an extensive working knowledge of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). The Security Supervisor will also assist with classified protection and handling, PII and other information security duties in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as well as, other security measures as required.
Responsibilities
  1. Conduct security indoctrination and education programs for new hire employees as needed. Perform recurring training at request of management.
  2. Supervise all aspects of the Security programs for compliance to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and related Federal government regulatory requirements for the protection of classified information.
  3. Responsible for the supervision and implementation of the Security Clearance Process and effectively communicate security requirements primarily with customer/government security representatives through briefing and discussion.
  4. Supervise the Security Clearance Process to oversee the processing of new hires and electronically track all security clearances and report status.
  5. Identify and respond to security requirements of Request for Proposals (RFPs) as well as participate in key management briefings on industrial, physical and other security business practices and regulatory compliance as required.
  6. Provide training and direction to project location security personnel and maintain overall responsibility for ISA BOS Clearance and provide liaison support for other location clearances.
  7. Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  8. Provide recommendations to plans, policies, methods, techniques and processes that will improve security and security management on the ISA BOS contract.
  9. Maintain a dialogue as appropriate with installation law enforcement personnel to enhance our relationship and increase security of assets we have under our control.
  10. Initiate or assist with reports on investigations, inspections and incidents in the AOR or as directed by the Program Director or Installation Operations Manager. Supervise and track the program Security Information File (SIF) program.
  11. Coordinate investigations and reports upon the loss, compromise or suspected compromise of classified material.
  12. Administer the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) for ISA BOS.
  13. Assist with leading IO special projects as directed by IO Senior Director, Operations Manager or Training Manager.
  14. Perform any and all other duties and assignments as required by the NISPOM or as directed.
Qualifications
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • Associated Degree Required, Bachelors Preferred
    • Certification Course in Personnel Security Management (must be obtained within 1 year)
  • Experience:
    • Experience in Personnel Security is required with an extensive knowledge of computer security, physical security, industrial security, personnel protection and physical protection.
    • Supervisor experience with five or more staff personnel is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent computer skills required as well as interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
