Purchase OfficerJob Location : BahrainDuties and Responsibilities:?To identify, shortlist, qualify, and develop new supply sources for existing material, alternative materials, or new requirements (raw materials, packaging materials, and additives, etc)?Follow up for prospective sourcing through information and contacts collected fro various exhibitions and email inquiries.?Gather information about potential new supplier through published records, web, catalogues, trade events etc.?Obtain all required technical and non- technical details and categorized with comments on materials/product suitability, availability, data sheet information , supplier goodwill and initial indicative pricing.?Take ownership of sample testing and line trials, liaise with operation team, including QC/QA to schedule necessary trials and follow-up for the post trial qualification status of the material and supplier.?Is expected to plan, identify and execute the establishment of alternative suppliers for all product ranges, and assist in the development of new sourcing options to improve; total cost improvement of product (price , quality, and securitization of supply, and availability
