Job Description

Provide guidance for planning and scheduling to the maintenance section on preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities. Take the lead in planning and coordination of outage planning and delivery within their area. Support and provide guidance on the requirements for condition monitoring of all equipment in their areaSupport the planning and procurement, consumption estimation, and preservation during storage, and inventory control of the plant spares in their areaTake the lead and provide input to the department in developing appropriate mechanical engineering strategies for effective asset management.Actively promote good safety performance and take the lead in initiatives as requiredResponsible for the Preparation of section budgetResponsible for the control and monitoring of all maintenance related costs of the sectionBe actively involved with the Maintenance Section Head and facilitate and provide feedback to ensure proper documentation in developing and maintaining the CMMS for all PM and CM activities in their area. Provide leadership and support for monitoring on-site inspections within their areaAdvise and support The Operation Department in running the Coal and Ash Handling Plant O&MEnsuring compliance with UAE legal and statutory requirements, and also ensure the adherence to site and company proceduresUndertake and evaluate risk against technical issues, and contribute to the resolution with due regard to process safety and to personnel safetyFormulation and ongoing management of the section budgets, ensure that regular budget reviews are undertaken and track deviations from planned, follow the financial approval process where deviation to plan needs to be undertaken to manage and oversee plant issuesIdentifying projects that would enhance the profitability and carry out cost benefit assessments against returnEnsure that Plant Modifications are correctly engineered, and undertake. Ensure that all modifications are completed fully and that all documentation, drawings and procedures as well as O&M instructions are updatedDeputise for the Engineering Section Head as and when requiredDuring commissioning and prior to COD, take a lead role in the implementation, development and delivery of CMMS and documentation in their area of responsibilityEnsure Environmental, Statutory, and Legal compliance with respect to their scope of activitiesEnsure identification of root cause for the identified non-conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective and preventive actions.Implement and manage quality management system in their area of responsibilityEngaging appropriate specialist support, both internal and externalIdentify hazards and areas of risk, and then document and implement control measures to reduce risk and eliminate hazards on the plantTake a proactive approach to safety and report ensure that all risks, incidents, and near misses are reported and acted uponAssist the Engineering Head in developing maintenance strategies and investment policiesManage and supervise a team of mechanical engineers who will be required to work with other sections and departments to ensure that the plant is operated and maintained in a safe and effective mannerReview training requirements and identify competency gaps for their team and implement necessary actions to ensure that the team has all the required capabilities to perform their dutiesUndertake other duties as required and requested by the Management Team?
