Job Description

Employment: Full Time Job Duration: Permanent Employment Process ImprovementSuggest and implement improvements to current production processes towards improvement of product qualityAnticipate potential problems, analyze and propose corrective actionsEnsure products are produced on time and are of good qualityWhen machine-related issues arise, provide accurate and full support for machines setting and fabrication related to automation and automatic controlMaximize the production process to lower wastageFacilitate the creation and development of a new productContinuously suggest and develop improvements in lineCommunicate and report problems, recommendations as they ariseMaintenanceMonitor the functioning of all machineries placed under area of responsibilityImplement the lubrication and greasing plan activity.Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as card, conveyors, compressor, AC units, and miscellaneous machinery, hydraulic circuit, etc.Repair or replace mechanical parts of production machinesAssume charge for the machines under area of responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status is resumedFabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.Identify corrective maintenance interventions, suggest improvements, collect data, justifications and quotations for management decision/actionEnsure proper inventory of mechanical parts in the store and their physical inspection on arrival into the storeMaintenance of spare parts inventory related to this fieldCommunicate and report problems, recommendations as they ariseH&SCarry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reducedPrepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policyOutline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazardsEnsure working practices are safe and comply with industry standards and legislationLead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risksKeep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvementsRecord incidents and accidents and produce statistics and reports for managersEnsure fire and safety equipment in working condition with up-to-date inspections and certificationOrganize and document biannual fire drillPerform periodic safety inspections and tests, manage external parties when required REQUIREMENTS: Willingness to learnProfessional conductAble to work as part of a multicultural teamBasic understanding in EnglishAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environmentExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Ilium is a 6,000m fiberglass manufacturing facility built on a 10,000m2 site within the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Created in 2010, Ilium was the brain-child of some well-known actors in the field of fiberglass reinforcements.

Ilium manufactures and distributes fiberglass reinforcement using a new and unique process technology that has been patented. Annually, more than 15,000 tons of composite reinforcement is produced and sold to customers in the transportation, construction, recreational and alternative energy industries in the Middle East, US, Europe, Asia and to developing markets including Brazil.

Ilium began its production of fiberglass structural composite reinforcements in September 2011 and continually innovates to produce products ranges suited to the needs of customers. One range of products is dedicated to Closed Mould Processes (RTM, Light-RTM, Press) and another range devoted to the Pultrusion process.
