Then come to our Insanely Customer Centric Team and become a Certified International Specialist!ROLE PURPOSE:Responsible for the day-to-day management of the DHL Aviation Network, Flight Control Department and Staff.YOUR TASKS:

• To provide 24hr Flight Control Management support and decision making.
• Liaison with Flight Dispatcher, Dispatch Assistant and Aircrew for operational issues as required.
• Act as Flight Control internal interface with key stakeholders at DHL Aviation and DHL for day-to-day operational issues
• Share On-Call duties with other Duty Managers
• Obtains Flight permits for Network and Charter flights.
• Manages the Crewing Scheduling for DHL Aviation flights ? outside office hours & weekends (72-hour window only)
• To use all systems within Flight Control Office (including AIMS, LIDO, EFB, Safety Reporting System, Dispatch Roster System, I.T. infrastructure).
• To support Flight Operations Management Team as required
• Represent Flight Control Department at meetings.
• To ensure operations are completed in a safe, legal and cost-effective way.
• To take decisive actions and decisions during Network disruptions pro-actively keeping all parties informed
• To develop working relationships with internal / external partners and providers
• Flight Control roster planning to ensure shift coverage 24/7 as well as statutory and Company in house training.
• Assist Crew Control Supervisor to analyse / improve actual crew scheduling, roster coordination.
• Cover for sickness / leave for Crew Control Supervisor / Flight Tech & Admin Support e.g., Hotel and Travel.
• If required provide support to Company In-House training
• Promote Safety, Quality Assurance within Flight Control, Crew Scheduling and Admin.
• Ensure Flight Control team strictly adheres to BCAA regulations / company procedures
• Share Operational / Crewing on call duties as per agreed protocols
• Departmental representation and internal meetings.
• Support Flight Operations Manager & Deputy Flight Operations Manager in improving & maintain FCPM Manual
• Safety/trip reporting for any occurrences related to flight control and crew control through established company process.
• Deputise Flight Dispatcher or Dispatch Assistants.
• Ensure that the team is provided with clear direction on a day to day and long-term basis.
• Use knowledge to support and develop Staff
• Develop and promote team spirit within the Flight Control Department, service-mindedness and communication channels between DHL Aviation, Network Control and internal/external parties using best practice CIS/CIM guidelines

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum of 7 years? experience in Aviation / Dispatch environment
• Flight Dispatch or Crewing experience for at least 5 years
• Experience at a supervisory level (3-5 years)
• Flight Dispatch License
• Bachelor Degree Level Education.
• Fluently spoken and written English.
• Valid Flight Dispatcher License required
• Knowledge of BCAA regulations (ANTR / CAP) e.g., FTL / Flight Dispatch Procedures
• LIDO experience required
• Knowledge of AIMS Crew Scheduling System required
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Active leadership with respect and interpersonal skills
• Flexible approach to work with an analytical mind and able to solve problems in a methodical manner.
