Job Description

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is part of the Executive Team, with the holder being responsible for the commercial strategy and the development of the organizationIt will involve activities relating to marketing, sales, product development and customer service to drive business growth and market shareAs a corporate officer position, the CCO reports directly to the CEO and is primarily concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of an organizationThe role must combine technical knowledge of the relevant field with strong marketing and business development skillsCCO takes ownership of the customer and the customer interface with the product or service offering, making sure that all functions of the organisation are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectivesThey will be closely linked to the organisations strategic management function, in drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term objectiveKey ResponsibilitiesThe role holder has a fiduciary responsibility to the organisation for finances and budgets within their remit (as defined by the organisational structure)Design and implement business strategies, plans and proceduresSet comprehensive goals for performance and growthCreate and validate commercial / pricing models for the companys clients and Third-Party Providers (TPPs)Build relationships with the companys customers and partnersManage relationships with partners / vendorsWork with the CMO and CSO to build out the companys product proposition and sales / marketing strategiesDeliver on the sales strategy to build the customer base across multiple countries in the GCC regionLead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedicationEvaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metricAssist CEO in fundraising venturesParticipate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.) REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceProven experience as Chief Commercial Office or similar role, in a fast growth companyUnderstanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etcDemonstrable competency in commercial modelling based on market analysis and insightExperience in fundraising will be a plusWorking knowledge of data analysis and performance / operational metricsOutstanding organizational and leadership abilitiesExcellent interpersonal and public speaking skillsAptitude in decision-making and problem-solvingBSc / BA in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MBA is desired but not criticalKey CompetenciesLeadershipSound judgementVisionDirectionIssue and conflict resolutionEffective decision makingCommunicationNegotiationEntrepreneurialIndustry managementHighly procedural and methodicalTeam buildingProject management
