Job Description

The Grant Thornton team continues to grow its market presence across Bahrain, supporting dynamic clients to unlock value through the diverse services which we offer.In response to our continued growth, we have an open position at one of our client for a professionally qualified Accountant with relevant 6-8 years of experience in the field of Automotive Dealership and a minimum of 2 years of experience in DMS Accounting Software. Should be compliant with Bahrain Taxation and well versed with reconciliations and financial reporting in coordination to internal and external audits.Accountant

  • Recording supplier invoices in the DMS system after ensuring their accuracy and tax compliance.
  • Proper archival of both physical and electronic documents.
  • Banking of daily collection and sending collection report to H.O.
  • Entry and verification of purchase invoices in the system by matching with corresponding goods received notes.
  • Petty cash custodian and monitoring of staff advances.
  • Monitoring the corporate credit card usage and ensuring supporting invoices.
  • Manage the accounts payable function by liaison with suppliers.
  • Providing all payment confirmations by viewing the bank statement to all concerned departments
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations and daily till reconciliations.
  • Providing assistance for the monthly closing of all accounts in a systematic manner and reporting to the H.O.
  • All withdrawals and deposits of bank and cash and bank branch dealings to be carried on systematically.
  • Systematic monthly VAT returns filing to be done in co-ordination with H.O
  • All cheques to be prepared and a cheque register to be maintained in a systematic manner.
  • Internal Audit Related Assistance to be provided to the H0O as when required.
  • Compiling a monthly Age Creditors List from the DMS System in order process payments to the suppliers to be done in a systematic manner in consultation with H.O
