Network Engineer (IP Planning and Design Engineer)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, qualified, and knowledgeable candidate to join our team to manage and design the IPRAN network using Huawei routers. We look forward to receiving applications from interested candidates with the qualifications and experience to cover the IP Planning and Design scope of work for our mobile network using Huawei routers.ÿÿYou will bring:? Advanced knowledge in L2 Network (STP/MSTP Bridging etc.)? Advanced knowledge in L3 network (OSPF v2 and v3, ISIS)? Advanced knowledge in BGP, MPLS L3VPN, MPLS L2VPN (VPLS/VPWS) (this is a non negotiable for the position)? Knowledge of EVPN and Segment Routing? IPv6 knowledge? The ability to find solutions for complex network requirements? Very strong knowledge in ieee 802.3ad, 802.1q, and various protocolsÿKey Responsibilities:? Collaborate with the design and implementation teams to ensure that the IPRAN network is meeting customer requirements and expectations? Develop network plans and proposals for IPRAN network expansions, upgrades, and improvements? Monitor and analyze network performance metrics, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary changes to maintain high levels of network availability and reliability? Participate in the development and implementation of network security measures, ensuring that the IPRAN network is secure and protected against cyber threats? Conduct regular reviews of network equipment and software, recommending upgrades and replacements as needed to ensure optimal network performance? Work closely with other departments and teams, including the Network Operations Center (NOC), to ensure seamless integration of IPRAN network services and functions? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging network technologies and trends, recommending new solutions and approaches to optimize network performance and efficiencyÿObjective of the role:? You will be engaged with both Customer and Other department discussions related to IPRAN network.? Share required and daily change Work Orders with the team? To ensure Work Orders are checked and have no impact on live service? Maintain service availability and redundancy from Network Design and Operation perspective.? Network audit and service enhancement?
