Position: Quality Assurance Mgr Responsible to: Accountable Manager and MNT Dir./Deputy CEO TechnicalResponsible for: ICAR 3 and 5General:The QA Mgr will serve as the primary company focal point with the ICAA on all matters concerning ICAR 3 and 5 Approval, requirements and standards.Management Responsibilities:? Complete co-ordination of the AIRWORTHINESS Department activities in relation to aircraft safety, continued airworthiness, quality assurance and training matters in particular with reference to ICAR 3 and 5 approval held.? Responsible for establishing an independent Quality System to monitor the adequacy of and compliance with ICAR 3 and 5 requirements by means of the Quality Audit schedule as per MCM Part 3 Any observed noncompliance or substandard practices are to be brought to the attention of the individual concerned via his section Mgr, with time scales for remedial action to be accomplished. Maintain a record of all noncompliance findings, and remedial actions taken.? Responsible for follow up and closure of any non-conformances identified.? Responsible for bringing to the attention of the Accountable Manager and his deputy all issues detrimental to acceptable quality standards or failure to comply with the MCM and TPM.? Responsible to define human factors principles to be implemented within the organization.? Responsible for monitoring, the company?s compliance with ICAR 3 and 5 requirements or changing regulations and requesting remedial or corrective action as necessary.? Responsible for developing and maintaining the company held ICAR 3 and 5 Approval, in accordance with the requirements of the ICAA.? Responsible for establishing feedback from maintenance incidents/issues and feeding these back into continuation training.? Responsible for maintaining a constant review of the MCM and ensuring that appropriate revisions are raised when required.? Responsible for assessing any maintenance instructions issued that have been derived from Maintenance data, for compliance with that data.? Ensuring the competence and qualification of Certifying Staff by means of authorization assessment boards and that staff technical qualification and continuation training records are maintained to the standards required by ICAR 3 and 5.? Responsible for issue/renewal/cancellation of certifying staff authorizations.? To monitor Quality Audit record keeping for completeness and to ensure that all facts pertaining to the airworthiness of FBA aircraft are included.? Ensure that Quality Notices are promulgated and issued for all quality related issues pertaining to the Handling and Maintenance in connection with FBA aircraft.for satisfactory product and documentation quality in relation to the needs of ICAR 3 and 5.? Enforce quality control standards for material receiving, shipping, storage, handling, repair and overhaul. Interface with Supply Chain Section for the inspection of materials.? Issue and upkeep of certification privileges to persons/bodies so approved.? Ensure through quality audits that customer maintenance procedures are complied with.? Responsible for assessing contractors working under the quality system and maintaining the expertise necessary to be able to do so, to the satisfaction of ICAA? Responsible for assessing external specialist services required to be used by the organization in the performance of maintenance.? Ensure the suitable working environment and resources appropriate to the task being undertaken.? Ensure the implementation of safety policy, human factor issues and reporting of un-airworthy conditions within his area of jurisdiction.? Responsible for the duties and responsibilities as mentioned in relevant TPM procedures.? Plan and control budget of the section.? Compile reports/graphs to indicate the standards achieved.? Responsible for coordinating action on airworthiness occurrences and for initiating any necessary further investigation and follow up activity.Qualification: ? ICAO type II or B1 holder engineer? At least 5 years Civil Aviation Authority Airworthiness /Maintenance inspector experience.? At least 8 years aircraft engineering maintenance? At least 3 years quality assurance experience,? 5 years supervisory experience or, Experience in quality assurance auditing, Knowledge of documentation associated with mandatory requirements for aircraft maintenance and operation,? An understanding of the concepts and aims of Quality Assurance and Quality Audits,Trainings: Type training of at least one aircraft operated by the Company (B737 NG/CRJ)
