We believe it is our duty and mission to support those who serve and have served whileSecuring the Futureof our country.ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer orientedSkillBridge GSC Technician III Fellowto join our team in an OCONUS (Iraq-Baghdad) location to provide unparalleled support and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.Position Overview & Responsibilities:Will be trained and mentored by PM and program leadership throughout SkillBridge fellowship.The Global Secure Communications (GSC) Technician III SkillBridge Fellow demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.The SkillBridge Fellow will provide operations and maintenance support to multiple tactical and land mobile radio systems.Proficient in communications surveys, new installations and preventative maintenance for vehicle and fixed-site systems, COMSEC management, frequency management, training, and depot-level repair for radios.Learns to develop and conduct training for U.S. Government personal and private contractors regarding the proper use, care, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of assigned systems.Position Requirements:Currently serving on Active Duty in the U.S. Armed Forces.Be expected to be discharged or released from Active Duty within 180 days of starting the ManTech SkillBridge Fellowship program.Received Unit Commander approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program; must provide documentation.Minimum of five (5) years technical and related experience in the field of coordination and technical support for modern communication systems.A minimum of two (2) years hands-on work experience with type 1 encrypted radios.Possess knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory and principle, and the effects of systems operating in an electronic countermeasures environment.Excellent technical knowledge of RF Communications (VHF/UHF/SATCOM/Radio).Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.Clearance Requirement:Must possess an active Secret security clearance.Physical Requirements:Moves about inside an office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Uses a computer and other office equipment.Occasionally works on concrete shop floors, server rooms, and positions self-inside vehicles to work in cramped and awkward positions.May work outdoors in all types of terrain and weather conditions.Grasps, positions and assembles equipment.Occasionally ascends/descends radio/communication towers to install and fix equipment.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
