Job Description

LocationBasra, IraqProjectBritish Embassy BaghdadPositionArmourerRotation6 weeks on, 6 weeks off subject to operational requirementsRole Requirements

  • British, passport holders only
  • Must be a qualified weapons armourer, preferably Ex British Military Artificer Weapons or equivalent.
  • Must be familiar with Glock 9mm, Colt M4/16 system, AK47/74, Zastava and M21
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of weaponry with a good understanding of PSC operations.
  • Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel; be capable of working in isolation for periods of time.
  • Function with minimum supervision; be resilient under pressure, capable of working with senior management and subordinates in a variety of situations.
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work towards targeted deadlines, making maximum use of the resources available.
  • physically fit
  • Glock armourer licence
ServicesServices provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and ?include, but not be limited to the provision ofops supportservices toensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of careof FCDO Baghdad. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include
  • Inspect, service and repair weapons in the areas highlighted
  • Provide a weapon inspection report weapon, highlighting the overall condition.
  • Provide guidance on weapon maintenance policy.
  • Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld?Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating?Procedures?and Guidelines
