Strategically plan and manage logistics
Direct and develop new strategies to streamline processes, optimise cargo and reduce costs
Research ideal shipping techniques (including pallet patterns), routing and carriers
Select carriers and negotiate contract and best rates to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
Partner and communicate with suppliers, and manufacturers and their loading department
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs/shipping quotes and efficiency
Source and supervise external warehouses
Meet cost, quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, accuracy and timelines targets in order to safeguard smooth operations in a variety of channels
