Job Summary:The Shipping Supervisor under direct supervision of Aqaba Site Director is responsible for executing the exports procedures and operations by calculating quantities with draught survey and vessels hold inspection preparing, auditing and issuing shipping documents to control quality and quantity of the products to achieve company and customer satisfaction to the highest revenue and lowest cost to the company.Responsibilities & duties:-Reviews, coordinates terms and conditions of vessels charter party. Attendance & availability around hour if needed to cover each ship berthing, inspection, draught survey, condition survey and loading operation process.-Plans, coordinates the daily shipping schedule operations with all related parties.-Issues shipping documents, loading order, daily, weekly, and monthly reports.-Conducting a draught survey and hold inspection & condition survey jointly with the appointed an independent surveyor and with the vessel?s masters and chief officers to determine the required quantities and quality control and preparing inspection reports and related certificates.-Audits invoices of the Industrial Ports Company, Marine surveyor companies, Ship agencies companies and other related parties? correspondences.-Studies and reviews customer?s shipments shortage claims and responds regarding claims in coordination with the site Director and marketing department to achieve customer satisfaction and company interest.-Calculates dispatches and demurrages for the ship loaded vessels by coordination with marketing through shipments lay can according to charter party.-Ensures shipping section compliance with quality, environmental and health & safety standards by following up related company policies, regulations, and ISO procedures.-Reports immediately and directly to the Site Director in case of any deviation from the scope of work assigned and any unsafe conditions.-Conducts safety meetings regularly.-Prepare periodic progress reports for each ship loading rates, stoppages, technical failures, weather conditions and industrial berths occupancy.-Follows up on subordinates? administrative affairs such as vacations, leaves ?? etc.-Conducts performance appraisals for the shipping officer.-Recommends training needs for the shipping officer and evaluates the outcomes of this training.-Performs other duties related to the job as assigned by Aqaba site Director.
