Actively works towards reducing store shrinkage and creating a safe and pleasant environment for customers and staff. Identifies and detains customers or staff stealing/shoplifting in the company Stores.Patrols sales floor without drawing attention, in order to identify customers/staff shoplifting/stealing. Apprehends/ detains store thieves and liases with local authorities. Reports incidents of customer/staff theft. Prevents/reacts to incidents of violence involving staff and customers. Controls access to staff/store entrance and stock storage areas. Inspects and reports against non-compliance of company procedures on tagging. Decides on detaining or deterring customers/staff from theft. Recommends to store management police action and involvement.Decides on areas of patrolling and areas requiring special vigilance. Conducts daily staff searches in accordance with company procedures and reports any exceptions. Conducts regular and random surprise till reconciliations and reports exceptions. Reports incidents of actual or suspected staff theft/ non-compliance to company procedures. Initiates investigations and operates with Manager and Security Supervisor in observing/identifying evidence of theft or malpractice. Completes timely and factual reports. Collaborates with store management and recommends improvements in security practices. Takes initiatives in investigations. Monitors stock deliveries/storage and ensures compliance with company procedure and health and safety standards. Reviews/monitors daily documentation, cash declaration, faulty items, customer and staff returns, staff searching, Stock Transfer(STR) reconciliation and compliance to staff Uniform issue Policy. Controls issuing of store keys. Controls storage and return of lost property.Recommends breach of compliance to company policy and procedures (to set guidelines). Recommends documents to be audited/checked and time of checking/auditing.
