Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and be able to effectively manage the purchasing of goods and services for our company. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our companys procurement activities are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
  2. Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
  3. Review and analyze purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  4. Prepare and issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules
  5. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  6. Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods
  7. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with company goals
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation
  10. Stay informed about market trends, new products, and suppliers
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
  3. Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  5. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  6. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  9. Detail-oriented and highly organized
  10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
