Job Description

A company in the Hotel industry is looking for a Telephone OperatorPosition Overview:We are seeking a courteous and efficient Telephone Operator to join our hotels front desk and guest services team. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and a pleasant demeanor. As a Telephone Operator, you will be the first point of contact for guests and play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries, requests, and ensuring smooth communication within the hotel.Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Communication: Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, assisting guests with inquiries, room reservations, and requests for information about hotel services and amenities.
  2. Call Routing: Direct calls to the appropriate departments or personnel, including housekeeping, concierge, room service, and management, to ensure efficient guest service.
  3. Message Handling: Take accurate and detailed messages for guests and hotel staff, ensuring timely delivery of messages.
  4. Emergency Response: Handle emergency calls with calmness and follow established protocols for reporting and responding to emergencies.
  5. Wake-Up Calls: Provide wake-up call services to guests at their requested times.
  6. Directory Assistance: Offer information and assistance regarding local attractions, restaurants, and services outside the hotel.
  7. Front Desk Support: Assist the front desk team with check-ins, check-outs, and guest registration when needed.
  8. Maintain Equipment: Ensure the proper functioning of telephone equipment and report any issues for maintenance or repair.
