Job Description

A Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects on site. They work closely with the project manager, ensuring that construction activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and according to the project plans and specifications. The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent technical skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities.Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  2. Monitor the progress of construction projects, identifying and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
  3. Collaborate with the project manager and other stakeholders to develop and implement project schedules and strategies.
  4. Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
  5. Manage and supervise subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
  6. Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  7. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and material logs.
  8. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  9. Resolve any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  10. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and subcontractors.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  5. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  9. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other construction software.
  10. Knowledge of local construction regulations and codes.
