descriptionOur client is looking for a Senior Quality Control Engineer with a strong understanding of production quality, mechanical & Electrical engineering in Lighting Industry that is highly organized, dedicated, and proactive individual who leads by example and has a strong understanding of LED Technology and Lighting Products.˙Your main tasks will be:
  • Sound knowledge of the latest international Standards relevant to the Products in the lighting industry;
  • To set up independently an in-house testing facility for routine testing of Lighting Products;
  • Vendor Development Activities & upgradation;
  • Manage the Incoming quality inspection for Lighting Products;
  • Prepare a checklist and inspection procedure for each process to ensure the quality of the product;
  • Product audit in the warehouse;
  • Rejection Analysis, Maintain quality level as per quality plan;
  • Keep all the records of inspection and test reports as per ISO 9001;
  • System Corrective action against Quality Abnormality and giving directions to vendors for prevention (Vendor Development Activities & up gradation);
  • Monitor & prepare supplier metrics performance based on KPIs (PPM, Yield, Complaints) and follow up the corrective actions;
  • Guidance and technical expertise to the QC team in performing tests, analyzing results, and making quality-related decisions;
  • Design and execute testing protocols, including performance, durability, safety, and reliability tests for lighting products;
  • Oversees the Design Quality process to fulfill production and manufacturing requirements;
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of lighting products to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements;
  • Supervise and mentor a team of QC engineers, technicians, and inspectors;
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve any quality-related issues;
  • ˙Investigation and Root Cause Analysis derived from Customer Complaints/Warranty developing Corrective/Preventive Actions, and Non conformances;
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations;
  • Coordinate the creation and Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes of all standard and custom Bills of Material(s).
