Job Description

We are seeking for a Senior Projects Engineer - Civil who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating civil project work, ensuring successful completion within contract conditions, budgetary limits, and timelines. This role involves overseeing Site Engineers and Supervisors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaborating with various departments to achieve project objectives.Key Responsibilities:Project Supervision & Coordination:

  • Supervise and coordinate civil projects, ensuring work is executed in line with contract terms, budget constraints, and time schedules.
  • Monitor and assign tasks to Site Engineers and Supervisors following company policies, procedures, and authority limits.
Project Pricing & Budget Control:
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager of civil Projects to prepare cost estimates and pricing for civil projects.
  • Monitor and control project-related expenses, ensuring alignment with the company?s budget forecasts.
Material & Manpower Coordination:
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and civil management to prepare material requirements lists for each project within the stipulated deadlines.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure the availability of necessary resources (materials and manpower) for project execution.
Procurement & Contracts:
  • Oversee procurement activities for contracts and sub-contracts in line with company procedures and the procurement department?s guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing subcontract agreements and participate in recruitment activities for project teams.
Team Briefings & Safety Standards:
  • Conduct team briefings and initiate project inception activities to ensure all team members understand the project requirements and scope.
  • Ensure safety procedures and standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the project in accordance with company and contract requirements.
Quality Control & Reporting:
  • Engage in quality control reporting and liaise with other departments to ensure production schedules and deliveries meet the project timeline.
  • Ensure project activities are executed in compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
Scheduling & Resource Management:
  • Manage the scheduling of manpower and material movements across construction and maintenance activities, ensuring efficiency and coordination.
Client & Contractor Liaison:
  • Act as the primary liaison between contractors and clients, managing work interfaces, addressing issues, and identifying opportunities to enhance project scope.
Technical Submittals & Drawings Review:
  • Review and evaluate technical submittals and shop drawings before submission to consultants and clients, ensuring compliance with project standards and specifications.
Collaboration with Project Management:
  • Assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer in various project tasks, including sub-contract agreements and team recruitment.
