MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo Estimate the direct cost of work in tenders in his own area of specialization & assist in the preparation of bids for Company Projects.JOB OBJECTIVES1.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo take part in pre tender meeting and site visit with other discipline estimators.2.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo study the scope of work in tenders from blueprints and other documentation and derive quantum of work in his own area of specialization.3.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo invite quotations and offers & prepare technical comparison for all offers from Subcontractors and to select one of them.4.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo clarify doubts in tenders through written communication with client for any missing information.5.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo Prepare & Estimate man-hours, deployment schedules, equipments required & project schedule for the project by discussing with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or Construction Engineers.6.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo review the tender with the Proposal coordinator for his area of specialization & ensure timely submission of the tender with all related technical & commercial inputs.7.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo take part in the post tender review meeting with client, providing all clarification during post tender period.8.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors & sub-contractorsESSENTIAL WORK ACTIVITIESúÿÿÿÿÿÿEstimating/CalculatingúÿÿÿÿÿÿWriting/DrawingúÿÿÿÿÿÿAnalyzing/Integrating/InterpretingúÿÿÿÿÿÿClerical/Admin FunctionsúÿÿÿÿÿÿPlanning/ImplementingúÿÿÿÿÿÿCheckingúÿÿÿÿÿÿControlling/ReviewingúÿÿÿÿÿÿDecidingSAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIESúÿÿÿÿÿÿMaintain standards of safety and comply with Company?s Health, Safety and EnvironmentÿManagement System requirements.úÿÿÿÿÿÿTake reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.úÿÿÿÿÿÿFollow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements
