Job Description

Summary:The role is for an Electrical Engineer experienced in the design of infrastructure dry services and major electrical distribution networks.The candidate shall have hands-on skills and experience in the design, analysis, calculations and detailing of infrastructure dry services systems including but not limited to High Tension networks, Medium Voltage networks, Low Voltage networks, fibre optic distribution networks, street lighting of all types, telephone systems, Intelligent traffic management systems.Knowledge and experience of renewable energy and photovoltaic systems in on-grid and off-grid configuration will be an advantage.Responsibilities:The Candidate shall be responsible for the following:

  1. Responsible for the engineering and delivery of design and details and calculations and reports for infrastructure dry services systems including but not limited to High Tension networks, Medium Voltage networks, Low Voltage networks, fibre optic distribution networks, street lighting of all types, telephone systems, Intelligent traffic management systems
  2. Prepare calculations and simulations for large and complex power and electrical distribution services systems.
  3. Check calculations prepared by other engineers and sub-consultants where applicable.
  4. Prepare detailed infrastructure wet services systems using 3D software such as Civil3D an InfraWorks and similar software.
  5. Guide draftsmen and modellers for preparation of detailed design models and drawings and deliverables.
  6. Prepare conceptual and detailed design reports of dry services systems.
  7. Prepare detailed technical specifications for dry services systems.
  8. Liaison and secure authority approvals for infrastructure systems from relevant ministries in Kuwait or KSA or Bahrain
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power specialization) from a recognized university with the ability to secure Kuwait Engineering Societyand Saudi Society of Engineers memberships
  • Specialized certifications in infrastructure dry services systems will be preferred.
Professional Experience:
  • 7-10 years+ experience of which 3-5 leading a team of designers
  • Verifiable experience in complex and large roads and highways projects
  • Verifiable experience in complex and large city master plans and similar applications
Functional Experience:
  • Experience in Civil3D, InfraWorks and NavisWorks
  • Experience in Revit will be also preferred.
