Production supervisor (food industry)Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe key roles and responsibilities include:úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTrain, supervise and manage the production teamúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿSet and schedule the production plan in alignment with the annual and seasonal sales forecastsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿSet the production guidelines and standards and resolve any production issuesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿIdentify the types of products and specifications of each product (i.e. quality, quantity, size, packaging material)úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿIdentify the production recipe/equation of each productúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿReceive orders and adjust the production plan when required based on the priority and urgency of each orderúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿMonitor the efficiency of the production lines to ensure timely loading and shipmentsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure adherence to ISO and HSE as well as company quality standards of each type of productúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCoordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to resolve any technical issues or machinery breakdownúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCreate and update the products list, and identify ideas for potential new products based on the production observationsÿúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿMonitor the input and output quantities of production materials, identify variances and resolve any pertaining issues in collaboration with the Wafra Factory ManagerÿúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿManage returned/wrong orders as well as waste controlúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure accuracy of the entered production data on the system before it is forwarded to the Finance Department (i.e. Accounts and Costing and Inventory) on a daily basis and delegate the data entry to his/her subordinatesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure maintenance of highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity in provision of the servicesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿAny other relevant work assigned by the department manager
