Duties and Responsibilities (Main Tasks):?Management of the Patient??????1.?????????Assists the Registered Nurse in the Inpatient/Outpatient setting.??????2.?????????Chaperons the patient when being interviewed and examined by the Doctor.??????3.?????????Takes the Vital Signs of the stable patients and handover the printed vital signs record to RNs.??????4.?????????Assists the patient for daily activities (bed making, dress/undress, bathing, ambulating, shifting to Radiology or Operation Theater)??????5.?????????Prepares the patient for examination.??????6.?????????Acts as a guide to direct patients to other departments in the Hospital.??????7.????????Maintains good reliable documentation of nursing observations and actions, under constant supervision of a Registered Nurse.???????8.????????Ensure the implementation of Accreditation Canada Standards related to area practices.Management1.?????????Maintains a clean safe environment for patients and staff by following guidelines as set by the Support Services Department.2.?????????Is well informed regarding the major incident and the Fire and Safety policy of the Hospital and attends set demonstrations.3.?????????Accepts the decision of the duty Nurse Supervisor to work in other clinic areas as required.4.?????????Acts in a professional and responsible manner including being punctual, well groomed and respectful at all times.5.?????????Performs other related duties as requested.
