Job Description

As such, we are looking for a Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Team.As a Lab Technician in the Medical Division your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigation.
  • Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.
  • Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses.
  • Preparing specimens and samples, constructing, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment for example centrifuges, titrates, pipetting machines and PH meters ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced, recording and sometimes interpreting results
  • Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment. Keeping up to date with technical development, especially those which can save time and improve reliability. Report test results following clinic protocols alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal results
  • Quality Focus Analysis and reporting in accordance with the Laboratory Quality Systems, Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling and maintain accurate record keeping. Follow JCI, CAP, ISO15189 Standards
