Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT Security Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures to protect the organization?s networks, systems, and data from potential cyber threats. A strong background in IT security, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and technical security solutions, along with a deep understanding of industry best practices, is essential.Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve vulnerabilities within the company?s existing security systems.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies across the organization.
  • Document security breaches, vulnerabilities, and remedial actions taken.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyze security events, responding to potential threats in real time.
  • Conduct penetration testing to evaluate and address potential security weaknesses.
  • Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively manage risks.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to integrate security measures in new systems and applications.
  • Use various tools to scan for network and system vulnerabilities and perform penetration testing when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reports on security incidents and actions taken, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Review configurations for security systems such as firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and more.
  • Cultivate relationships with external cybersecurity vendors and partners for effective collaboration and support.
  • Manage incident response planning, including investigating breaches, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Participate in the change management process to ensure security protocols are incorporated in all system updates and changes.
