General Mechanic

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and automotive equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of mechanical systems and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
Install new mechanical systems and equipment according to specifications and industry standards.
Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and codes.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, time spent, and any other relevant details.
Prepare reports on the condition of mechanical systems and recommend necessary actions for improvements or replacements.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to mechanical systems and equipment.
Work closely with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced team members.
Provide general support to the maintenance team as needed.
