Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and related equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in the refrigeration systems.
Replace defective components and wiring and adjust controls to ensure the efficient operation of the system.
Monitor and control the operation of the ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
Record and maintain accurate logs of system operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Adhere to all safety standards and protocols related to the handling and use of ammonia and other hazardous materials.
Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
Provide technical support and training to other maintenance staff and plant operators regarding the refrigeration systems.
Collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel to improve system performance and efficiency.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and repairs.
Prepare and submit reports on system performance, maintenance schedules, and safety compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
