Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible to manage the electrical maintenance and repair of the Mall buildings, grounds, and contents in a cost-effective manner and ensure the efficient and safe operation of all plant and equipmentJD as follows:

  1. Undertake scheduled and breakdown electrical maintenance of engineering equipment?s or plant.
  2. Ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.
  3. Supervise engineering and technical staff.
  4. Act quickly to make on-the-spot repairs when electrical systems and machinery malfunction.
  5. Keep equipment operational by following manufacturers instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
  6. Make inspections and assess potential problems
  7. Responsible for supervising electrical technicians, which includes hiring and training new technician team members.
  8. Achieve electrical maintenance operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  9. Provide electrical power by maintaining electrical equipment and outlets; including energy management system for lighting, security gates, and mall conveyor system.
  10. Comply with codes by adhering to requirements; advise senior management on needed actions.
  11. Maintain supplies inventory by checking electrical material stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for electrical material.
  12. Enhance facilities services and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  13. Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
  14. Ensure that equipment?s are in good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities
  15. Help the organization to reduce energy costs
  16. Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services
  17. Provide safe working environment for members of staff, and ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented
  18. Anticipate problems and quickly find solutions to them, evaluate situations and provide prompt solutions to challenges
  19. Ensure quality of technical specifications for spares and sub-contracted work
  20. Provide hand on training to subordinates in order to enhance the work quality
  21. Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive matters relating to the business in general and Maintenance Department
