JOB OBJECTIVES :1. To lead and manage a team of professional draftsmen.2. To develop designs from project specifications.3. To allocate, prioritize and check work of a team of draftsmen.4. To check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender.5. To prepare and check material data sheets and coordinate with procurement engineer to select materials.6. To document, record and report on meetings, progress of jobs and construction completions from design & validation reports from Project Engineers.7. To incorporate feed back from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.8. To formulate designs which are intended to be practical, aesthetic and conducive to intended purposes.9. To use design techniques to make the best visual and physical use of space.10. To collaborate with team of designers to meet the project?s needs and provide engineering support.11. To coordinate work produced by in-house junior designers, senior designers, consultants, code, specifications etc. as directed by the Project Managers.12. To work closely with other construction professionals such as quantity surveyors, structural engineers, building services engineers and builders.
