Job Description

Proficiently conducts general radiology techniques, including mammography, X-ray and ultrasound. Work well independently and with the patients other medical team members. Excellent vision with and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities for using medical imaging technology to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. Consults with other doctors in the treatment of patients.

  • Read mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRIs, and perform diagnostic breast procedures that can help to diagnose and treat breast cancer.
  • Reviews and interprets medical images to determine patient status and future medical care.
  • Determines the exact images required for diagnosis and delivering orders.
  • Administers trace amounts of radioactive substances to create and enhance diagnostic images.
  • Performs minimally invasive surgical techniques with image guidance.
  • Works with primary care doctors, nurses and radiology technicians to administer treatment and manage pain.
