Develop and support the implementation of cost-reduction strategies and action plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Assess and report financial estimates for cost-saving initiatives.
Provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and improve cost efficiency.
Collect and analyze cost data, cost drivers, and financial performance indicators.
Design and oversee the development of IT applications to offer insights on cost trends and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure that cost baseline and optimization efforts maintain a balance between efficiency and compliance.
Periodically review and refine cost baseline models and cost optimization processes.
Drive the automation of cost baselines and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Support the hydrocarbon accounting process across the company?s value chain, including data validation and reconciliation to ensure consistency and accuracy in production data.
Coach and mentor internal resources to build capabilities in supporting and leading cost optimization initiatives.
Experience:
A minimum of 18 years of industry experience, including 13+ years in the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector in a similar role.
Extensive expertise in financial analytics, cost management, and cost optimization across the O&G value chain.
Proven experience in Oil & Gas procurement and financial transformation initiativesQualifications:
Bachelors or advanced degrees in Finance, Engineering, or Business.
Preferred professional certifications such as:
Certified Cost Professional (CCP)Certified Management Accountant (CMA)Kaizen or Six Sigma certifications
A proven track record of successfully advising and supporting CXO-level executives in O&G organizations on cost management and optimization.
