descriptionOur client is a large private hospital in the state of Kuwait. Their dedication towards development and growth is reflected in the ongoing expansion. They are looking for a Consultant Anaethesia who will be responsible for the efficient operation of anaesthesia services. Being a Head of Anaesthesiology, this role works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.˙
  • ˙Monitor patient before, during, and after anaesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications;
  • Record type and amount of anaesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure;
  • Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery;
  • Implement advanced life support techniques;
  • Prepare patients physically for medical procedures;
  • Administer anaesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods;
  • Administer anaesthetics or sedatives to control pain;
  • Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures. Examine patients to assess general physical condition;
  • Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility;
  • Coordinate administration of anaesthetics with surgeons during operation;
  • Monitor patient progress or responses to treatments;
  • Confer with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anaesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain;
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment;
  • Provide medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribing medication and treatment and referring patients for surgery;
  • Refer patients to other healthcare practitioners or health resources;
  • Prescribe treatments or therapies;
  • Manage anaesthesiological services, coordinating them with other medical activities and formulating plans and procedures;
  • Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians, and other health care providers.
