Job Description

We are looking to hire hard-working Commis to join us at our luxury chocolatier and daily bakery.JOB PURPOSE: Perform various perform various kitchen duties, such as assisting the Head Chef and section Chef de parties in product preparations, receiving orders, and supporting Operations with timely deliveries.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook food items delegated as assigned, ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times under guidance from the Section Chef de Partie.
  • Present and decorate items as per the Section Chef de Partie?s instructions.
  • Take inventory of supplies and notify concerned parties of low or depleted supplies.
  • Ensure that all food items are properly stored to prevent spoilage.
  • Discard all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers after approval from Section Chef de Partie
  • Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure that workstations are properly sanitized.
