CCTV Operator Activities

Monitor and operate the CCTV system, and ensure fully functioning recording, when licensed to do so.
Ensure that the control room is never left unattended or unmanned unless otherwise instructed by the Direct Manager.
Monitor the camera images continuously to assist with the prevention and detection of crime regularities.
Provide witness statements and copies of surveillance footage for evidence, if needed.
Investigate and record all incidents in appropriate logbooks and conduct daily security checks.
Ensure all video security equipment is operating effectively and efficiently.
Respond to and report alarms, suspicious activities, and violators in accordance with established procedures and policy.
Alert the police or security officers in case of suspicious activities.
Gather and compile CCTV reports and evidence.
Stay alert and vigilant to suspicious events.
Conduct regular checks on all officers to assure they are alert and carrying out their duties efficiently and effectively.
Conduct regular and periodical checks and take immediate follow-up action on all systems including the CCTV system.
Record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written occurrence book
Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
