Responsibilities.? Analyzes complex financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.? Oversees the development of unrestricted funds budgets, research grants and contracts, and revenues.? Analyzes budget patterns and projects expenditures.? Oversees the preparation of working papers and approved budgets; ensures thatexpenditures for budgets, grants and contracts are monitored and that reports areprepared to maintain balanced accounts.? Develops and oversees the maintenance of budget monitoring systems.? Develops complex financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis;? Monitors, identifies, and communicates expenditures to administrative staff.? Monitors and approves expenditures throughout the budgetary period.? Coordinates the long-range plans of the company, assesses the financial requirements implicit in these plans and develops alternative ways in which financial requirements can be satisfied.? Manages the cash-flow position of the company; includes authority to establish credit and collections, and purchasing policies and to establish schedules for the payment of bills and financial obligations.? Approves all agreements concerning financial obligations, such as contracts for products or services and other actions requiring a commitment of financial resources.? Maintains relationships with financial institutions. Administers banking arrangements and loan agreements has custody of and disburses the companys cash and securities;? Maintains adequate sources for the companys current borrowings from banks and other lending institutions.? Oversees the granting of credit and the collection of accounts due to the company, including supervision of required special arrangements for financing sales, such as time payments and leasing plans.? Coordinates with Internal Auditor and arrange periodic audits through external auditors.? Develops the department operating budget? Monitors departments actual spending against approved budgets? Translates business plan target into forecasted financial results
