Job Description

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: ?Follow up and update the Facilities & Procurement Manager on the readiness of the campus facilities for the smooth running of classes and ensure a pleasant working and effective environment on campus at all times. Responsible for the coordination of the manpower responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, ventilation, security, health and safety, landscaping and PSTP, HVAC, and other building systems.?DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:?

  • Provide the first line of communication for all internal and external customers/contractors for the facilities function.
  • Coordination of all premises works, including planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment, redecoration, office moves, and the provision of furniture and office equipment.
  • Coordinate with the hired contractors to ensure that projects are completed impeccably.
  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Ensure the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations.
  • Adjust room temperature controls.
  • Provide access control for employees and students ID cards.
  • Ensure the timely response and completion of routine and emergency duties.
  • Obtain, review, and prioritize work orders from personal observations and various sources with the approval of the Facilities & Procurement Manager.
  • Monitor cleaning services internal & external areas to establish a harmonious & hygienist place to learn, study, and work.
  • Coordinate & discuss with the Facilities & Procurement Manager to allocate space in the campus for restaurants or cafeterias or any other related business.
  • Assist Facilities & Procurement Manager in preparing the budget for minor projects.
  • Assist Facilities & Procurement Manager in developing policies and procedures for the department.
  • Prepare and work on facilities routine preventive maintenance and inspection checklist on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager and upper management.
