Job Description

Role Description: To review different kinds of maintenance requirements, consult with engineers, operations personnel etc. prepare and monitor maintenance plans, schedules with sufficient resources requirements for shutdown maintenance work and develop a master maintenance-planning schedule in conjunction with the maintenance personnel for optimization of plant and equipment availabilityKey Accountabilities: 1. Project Management? Reviews work priorities with concerned Operation Leaders to assess backlog work, and to schedule preventive/predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programs. Follows up on work progress to minimize variation from plan? Maintains information on backlog jobs pending due to resource unavailability, shutdown etc. and follows up with concerned departments to expedite work? Reviews requirements for plant shutdown, discusses details with maintenance and Production Engineer / PAC and prepares consolidated work lists for shutdown as well as preliminary estimates of manpower and material.2. Work Orders? Record tasks/information within the work order and review work orders for technical completeness returning work orders to PAC/gatekeeper if incomplete3. Job Plan? Undertake the task activities necessary for job plan considering constructability, maintainability, quality feedback from person doing work, archived plan or template and input from other crafts as well as field checks in order to ensure all dimensions are taken into account4. Materials Identification / Requisition? Determines requirements for resources such as manpower, skills, estimated man hours, material, spares and special support devices such as cranes, forklifts etc., in consultation with execution supervisor in order to plan and requisition for the same.? Consider material costs when selecting materials from specifications in order to ensure costs are minimized where possible5. Shutdown Planning? Estimates the time duration, manpower availability and equipment availability for shut down periods to prepare and circulate a schedule for the shut down phase, recommending contract services, where necessary? Carries out plan detailing for the shutdown in consultation with engineers, contractors, planning staff etc. to ensure material reservations, support services requirements, execution as per schedule etc. and monitors the latter to minimize variations.6. Safety? Provide central coordination to ensure maintenance programs are conducted in the safest way within the schedule time frames and allocated budget, utilizing data base maintenance management program SAP and other supporting software7. System Update? Input plans into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services in order to ensure their availability when needed? When materials availability has been confirmed, store job in active backlog for future retrieval8. Continuous Improvement? Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of maintenance planning unit systems, processes and practices taking into account ?international best practice?, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement9. EH&S Focus? Comply with all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
