Job Description

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design is looking for undergraduate students to assist instructors in their teaching. Qualified candidates include students enrolled in the college and have excelled in the classes they will be assisting in.The undergraduate assistant instructor is responsible for performing teaching or teaching-relatedduties to assist instructors-of-record.NOTE: All assistant instructor tasks are expected to be carried out under the course instructors supervision. Responsibility for satisfactory completion of all course-related tasks remains with the instructor of record.Key Duties

  • Grading assignments
  • Reinforce lessons presented by instructors by reviewing material with students one-on-one, in the laboratory, or tutorial sessions
  • Helpinstructorspreparing for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers
  • Helpinstructorswith recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance.
  • Facilitate group discussions and team-based learning
  • Other administrative tasks that may require the involvement of teaching assistants as prescribed by the head of the department
  • Attend classes with instructors as required
  • Help the instructor in organizing students activities in and out of the university. (not only field trip)
  • Helpinstructors in preparing course files
