Job Description

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic Technician specializing in instrument air compressors and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems in an industrial setting.Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install, maintain, and repair instrument air compressors and rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, and motors.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on air compressors and rotating equipment.
  • Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with instrument air compressors and rotating equipment.
  • Repair and replace faulty components such as bearings, seals, and valves.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test system performance and identify issues.
  • Calibration and Testing:
  • Calibrate and test instrumentation devices to ensure accurate measurements and optimal performance of air compressors and rotating equipment.
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation.
  • Perform alignment checks and make necessary adjustments.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and logs for air compressors and rotating equipment.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure efficient operation of mechanical systems.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bsc in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent , or a related field preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on instrument air compressors and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, particularly those related to air compressors and rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA, NCCER, or other industry-specific credentials are a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work in various industrial environments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
