Analyze traffic data to perform traffic signal study to understand performance of the junction and recommend needed upgrade of traffic signal timings to ensure maximum utilization of road capacity and improve the traffic flow.
Periodically review the signal timing plan and road network with the support of ITS401 Senior Traffic Operations Engineer and in close coordination with the Senior UTC Operations Engineer.
Review signal timing plans from the road contractor to ensure the safety and operation standards are followed.
Review traffic diversion plans received from road contractors by ensuring standards and guidelines are followed as per Dubai manuals.
Prepare, review, and manage response plans during the incidents and schedules events in coordination with ITS401 Senior Traffic Operation Engineer and RTA.
Plan and manage special/mega event traffic management plans includes signal timing plan, traffic circulation and DMS messages in close coordination and collaboration with Senior Traffic Operation Engineer, Senior UTC Operation Engineer, Project Manager and client Engineers.
Identify areas for improving traffic operations and safety as a quick win to support ITS401 Project Manager in the delivery of subtask 2.9 and provision of required support during implementation.
Support ITS401 Project Manager and Senior Traffic Operations Engineer in preparing technical reports, presentation, graphs, charts to illustrate observation and recommendation for assigned task as needed.
Support ITS401 Senior Traffic Operations Engineer and Senior UTC Operations Engineer in OUT commissioning and site acceptance test as needed.
Carry out field visits for observation and implementation of signal timing plans and traffic circulation plans during the events.
Actively engage with other team to support and guide the traffic operation to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
