Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:Plan, direct, coordinate and manage in the provision of Instrument & Control maintenance in all aspect of maintenance, repair, shutdown preparation, troubleshooting and supporting to Engineering for modification of Instrument & Control equipment of all LNG Trains, Gas Export Train and Power generation plants. Include reviewing equipment performance to ascertain status, performing analysis and recommendation optimum method to deal with chronic problems. Ensure Instrument & Control equipment?s operating efficiently as per company design and procedures.Maintain Instrument & Control equipment?s reliable performance by completing maintenance activities planned and breakdown maintenance.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Job Specific Accountabilities

• Ensure Instrument & Control equipment?s operating efficiently as per company design and procedures.
• Undertake direct field supervision on engineers, Supervisors, Senior Technicians & Technicians, I-C Maintenance, Vendor Engineers for special work, as required
• Ensure that all company codes/regulations/engineering practices are adhered to by Section employees.
• Ensure availability, reliability and integrity of plant and Instrument & Control equipment, in line with best Maintenance techniques and engineering practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis and safety reviews and submit reports and recommendations accordingly
• Conduct Advanced Safety Audits and Advanced Maintenance Audits on the team
• Participate in RCA meetings / discussions and contribute in resolving issues towards avoidance of plant trip recurrences
• Liaise and contact Team Leaders in Planning, Scheduling and Turnaround Department with regard to shutdown preparation, to review on the method statement in order to achieve optimum quality assurance. Reviews the schedule preparation with appropriate suggestion in order to avoid unnecessary delay for handover or commission of equipment.
• Assess the manpower requirement and propose supplementary manpower as required to Manager, I-C Maintenance
• Demonstrate appropriate levels of knowledge and responsibility regarding Technical and Operational Integrity processes of AIRMS.
• Delegate work responsibilities; assure development of subordinates in the job; stand as acting Manager, I-C Maintenance as and when required

New Projects:

• Provides input to the Department Manager on I-C engineering issues related to the Engineering & Projects personnel for the development of proposals for modification or additions to existing systems.

Materials Stock Management:

• Support the Manager, I-C Maintenance to formulate Instrument maintenance spare parts requirement and ensure availability of spare parts necessary for implementation of all Instrument & Control maintenance activities. Perform periodic reviews of material stocks in conjunction with Inventory & Warehouse (Das) and Procurement Departments
• Liaise with subordinates and stores personnel on detailed stock set ups for I-C equipment and follow up for adequate stock levels.
• Raises request for procurement of new equipment and major repairs with justifications to the Manager

Contracts Management:

• Contributes to the preparation of job specifications and the scope of contracts.
• Provides feedback to the Manager on performance of the contractor from quality and technical perspective and highlights deviations for necessary action.
• Support the Manager, I-C Maintenance in initiating Service Contracts, and assist Contract Department in preparation of contract documents.

Audit Closure

• Responsible for ensuring that actions mentioned in the audit report are compiled and closed.

HSE & Waste Disposal of Hazardous Material:

• Acts as the key accountable person for the maintenance of the Control Systems as per HSE compliance standards and ensures waste disposal of material as per the HSE compliance standard to avoid environmental pollution.

Generic AccountabilitiesManagement

• Plan and supervise the activities of the personnel and resources of the Section to achieve the Department objectives in an efficient and cost-conscious manner while ensuring implementation of approved operational plans for the Section in line with Department objectives.
• Develop the knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Section and support the establishment of Personal Development Plans (PDP?s), Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Section in coordination with the Human Capability Group to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets.

Budgets and Operational Plans

• Compile and provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved the Section budget levels.
• Investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Lead the implementation of approved Section policies, processes, systems, Quality standards, procedures and internal controls in order to support execution of the Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

• Implement the Company Performance Management System for individuals within the Section in accordance with Company approved guidelines and continuously monitor the achievement of the Section KPIs related to the approved Annual Performance Management Contract and the Balanced Score Card.

Organization Structure and Development

• Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organization structure for the Section that will best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Encourage innovation, enhance employee motivation and support initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve operations and services.
• Propose improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Section.
