JOB SUMMARYThe Storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring the availability of materials, and maintaining accurate records of supplies and equipment. This role involves stocking, tracking, issuing, and verifying materials while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.RESPONSIBILITIESReceive, log, store, monitor, and retrieve materials in the inventory system.Maintain inventory control records, including documentation of supplies, equipment, tools, and company assets.Conduct material assessments, set reorder points, and verify deliveries.Execute material re-orders and returns as needed.Perform stocking tasks, including verifying supply levels and restocking shelves.Issue tools, supplies, and equipment to workers, subcontractors, and clients as required.Assist with the check-in/check-out process for materials.Prepare and complete material/supply orders and small purchase authorizations (SPA).Check and verify prices before placing orders.Inspect materials upon delivery in coordination with the Purchasing Officer.Coordinate with QA/QC for permanent material status for quantity and quality Control and verify delivery notes and compare them with invoices received.Maintain proper records of material deliveryPrepare appropriate reports and forms related to inventory and stock levels.Communicate effectively and efficiently with the procurement team, project staff, and subcontractors regarding material needs and availability.Advise his supervisor (Site Engineer/Construction Manager) for material statusQUALIFICATIONS3+ years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management within the construction industry.Knowledge of material handling procedures and procurement processes.Literacy in English (reading and writing)
