Job Description

WSP is seeking a highly skilled Stakeholder Engineer who is fluent in Arabic to join our team as part of a prestigious road infrastructure project. The Stakeholder Engineer will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and collaboration between project stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and the project team. This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory processes, strong interpersonal skills, and a background in engineering, preferably civil, mechanical, or electrical.Your new role, whats involved?

  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities and government agencies to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and NOCs for the road infrastructure project.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the project, including government entities, local communities, and other relevant parties.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of issues.
  • Liaise between the project team and regulatory bodies to address any concerns or requirements related to compliance, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on the status of approvals, permits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop strategies for stakeholder engagement and mitigation of potential conflicts.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential regulatory hurdles or challenges that may impact project timelines or budget.
  • Support the project team in conducting community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities as needed.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to road infrastructure projects in the region.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the project team in stakeholder management best practices.
