JOB PURPOSE:Overall responsibility is to improve artificial lift performance (ESP) through providing technical expertise, knowledge sharing and guidance to design, develop, review, monitor and recommend performance standards for Artificial Lift applications in accordance with ADNOC Offshore safety standards. These guidelines, policies, practices and procedures focused on artificial lift applications in line with the overall oil production strategy.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Job Specific Accountabilities? Promote artificial lift technical solutions to Asset Development reservoir and petroleum engineers for both oil producers and water supply wells.? Advises on artificial lift systems to use in Asset field wide applications.? Ensure effective application of Artificial Lift solutions (ESP) to meet company targets in a timely and cost-efficient manner.? Manage ESP contract and stock to ensure availability of ESPs for future installations.? Utilizes advanced computing software to model artificial lift systems, optimizing operations and performance in a gathering system.? Provides Artificial Lift Performance Analysis, Diagnostic, and Well intervention/remediation technical support.? Evaluate and provide decisions on artificial lift optimization and change out of equipment.? Support field staff and operation engineers in problematic well troubleshooting.? Participate in well review sessions.? Sets operational scope and methodology for formulation of Artificial Lift strategy.? Consolidates Artificial Lift strategy and ensure its technical and business applicability across field.? Generations of savings through economies of scale by standardizing logistical and operational setup of Artificial Lift solutions.? Leads continual improvement and implementation of Artificial Lift Technical Working procedures/ systems and Standard Operating Systems.Specialist, Electrical Equipment (ESP)Technical Services / EngineeringADNOC Classification: Internal? Maintain detailed Artificial Lift knowledge base and experience for future benefit.? Monitors well/equipment performance and present lessons learnt for future design improvements.? Evaluates equipment performance and presents comparative studies between differenttechnologies/equipment. Sets the design envelop for the manufacturers to meet.? Participate in Artificial Lift Inspections and root cause failure for future corrective actions.? Participate in internal Peer Assist and Reviews. Reviewing the technical content of the technical documents priorsending to Shareholders. Ensures the follow-up and adherence to recommendations made during suchmeetings.? Technical mentor to other petroleum/production engineering staff and fresh graduates with special emphasison UAE Nationals. This includes assessing employees? training and development needs, directing the preparationof structured development programs, monitoring progress and counselling trainees on alternative career pathsand job profiles available in the company? Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and ADNOC Offshore HES training requirements and policies.Generic AccountabilitiesSupervision? Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.? Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliverthe respective section objectives.Budgets? Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of theapproved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.? Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost controlPolicies, Systems, Processes & Procedures? Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order tosupport execution of the Section?s / Department work programs in line with Company and Internationalstandards.Performance Management? Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in linewith the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous Improvement? Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.? Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISOstandards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability? Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelinesin line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.Reports? Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Specialist, Electrical Equipment (ESP)Technical Services / EngineeringADNOC Classification: InternalInternal? Frequent contact with all the Reservoir and Petroleum Engineers to identify potential artificial lift opportunities.? Communicate with ADNOC Offshore Drilling /completion and Operations Support Teams, and vendors on equipment availability and preparedness.? Coordinates with WDP coordinator in scheduling workovers for artificial lift wells.? Follow-up with Asset Field Operations team on well tie-in, initiating production well test and troubleshooting AL wells. This includes training of field operating staff.? Maintains close co-operation with ADNOC Offshore Technical Centre (TC) for technical support and identification of new technologies.? Occasional contacts with other Artificial Lift Engineers from other assets to exchange ideas and share lessons learned.External? Regular contact and meetings with ADNOC, International Shareholders and other OPCOs in UAE, through workshops, peer reviews, or more generally to share industry best practices and information? Regular contacts with equipment/services vendors.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Minimum Qualification? Bachelor Degree in Petroleum or related Engineering, preferred in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering disciplineMinimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills? 15 years varied experience in the oil industry with specialization in artificial lift systems mainly Electric Submersible Pump (ESP).? Good knowledge of software applications such as WellFlo, Prosper and SubPump used for artificial lift (ESP) designs.? Proficient in English.Professional Certifications? N/A.TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:?
