Specialist Clinical Pathologist

Job Description

The Clinical Pathologist is responsible for the diagnosis of diseases through laboratory testing of blood, body fluids, and tissues. This role involves overseeing clinical laboratory operations, interpreting diagnostic results, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with clinicians to guide patient management.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and validate laboratory test results in hematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and transfusion medicineProvide diagnostic consultation to physicians regarding test selection and result interpretationSupervise daily operations of the clinical laboratory and ensure compliance with regulatory standardsEstablish and monitor quality assurance and quality control programsOversee blood bank services, including compatibility testing and transfusion safetyReview abnormal and critical test results and communicate findings promptlyEnsure laboratory compliance with DHA/DOH/MOH, CAP, ISO, and JCI standardsParticipate in laboratory audits, inspections, and accreditation processesTrain, supervise, and evaluate laboratory technologists and staffDevelop and update laboratory policies, procedures, and SOPsParticipate in clinical meetings, multidisciplinary discussions, and infection control programsContribute to clinical research, audits, and continuous professional developmentQualifications & RequirementsMedical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)Postgraduate qualification in Pathology / Clinical Pathology (MD, DNB, FCPS, PhD, or equivalent)Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a clinical pathology or hospital laboratory settingStrong knowledge of laboratory automation and diagnostic technologiesExcellent analytical, communication, and leadership skillsSkills & CompetenciesExpertise in laboratory diagnostics and test interpretationStrong attention to detail and decision-making abilityAbility to manage high-volume laboratories and time-sensitive resultsProficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)Commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practiceWork EnvironmentHospital or diagnostic laboratory settingRegular working hours with on-call responsibilities, as requiredCollaborative work with clinicians and healthcare teams Company Profile At We Staffed LLC, we know that behind every resume and license application is a professional with a dream.
