Job Description

Job PurposeSupport the Upstream Category Management activities in ADNOC and Group Companies with typical annual spend range of $200m - $600m/Category. Support resultant tenders of total value $1Bn - $5Bn.Provide analytical and commercial rigor in the development of respective Category Strategies and assist in the implementation of the Market Intelligence function and Category Management strategies. Drilling Sector categories- OCTG- Wellheads & Trees- Completion Equipment (DCE)- Drilling Fluids- Cementing- Wireline/Logging- Directional Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)? Provide Project Management support for the Category Management activities and provide numerical analysis to Category specific tasks.? Analyze and produce historical spend map for the Drilling Sector, including Category hierarchy analysis. ? Work with Market Intelligence to inform strategies with the latest Category and Supplier analysis: cost drivers, market trends, competition, Supplier Profiles.? Develop cost models and price indices suitable for the Drilling Category and utilize MI and cost models to assist in the Identification and selection of relevant sourcing levers.? Develop cost saving opportunities and identify quick wins and use best practice procurement tools to develop and implement Category Strategies.? Provide analysis to support Supplier Performance Management and support resolution of supplier disputes.? Manage post award contract management and supplier performance, including KPI development and tracking.? Support the Scope of Work development and preparation of tender documents in conjunction with Category members.? Undertake Category-based inventory analysis and recommend improvements as required.? Support the Category Lead in performing commercial evaluations based on Total Cost of Ownership.? Apply analytical and quantitative techniques to enhance the supply chain and contracts processes and procedures? Gather and evaluate data to generate reports and gap analysis to support the Sector.? Propose business process improvements by utilizing lean methods and new ways of working.? Support strategic supplier performance management in line with ADNOC Category management process.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3)Generic AccountabilitiesSupervision? Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.? Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.Budgets? Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.? Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures? Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.Performance Management? Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous Improvement? Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.? Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability? Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.Reports? Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.Generic Accountabilities (continue)Internal Communications & Working Relationships? Regular contact with Category Management Sector Leads and Category Management Senior Specialists.External Communications & Working Relationships? As needed contact and collaboration with Market Intelligence providers, major suppliers, AGOC procurement and technical teams.Minimum Qualification? Bachelor?s Degree in Business or Engineering. MBA qualified highly desirable.Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills? Minimum 9 years of experience, highly professional and innovative category management in an international oil & gas company or at least 5 years of experience with an Oil & Gas International Operator.? Superior quantitative and analytical skills.? Proven ability to support and influence change.? Must demonstrate strategic thinking? Ability to write business reports and executive summary for Senior Management approvals.? Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving work environment is necessary.Professional Certifications?
