Job Description

Our client, a semi-government hospital, is currently looking for a Social Worker to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluate patients (existing, new, and prospective) based on their needs, limitations and desires and makes treatment recommendations for various patients including transplant, oncology, emergency department, etc.
  • Address patient concerns and goals while maintaining constant communication with the patient as well as a case manager
  • Build rapport with patients and their families
  • Provides a high level of psychosocial assessments and discharge planning, ongoing evaluation and individualized support to patients and their family members
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
  • Develop care plans for patients
RequirementsTo be considered for this role you need to meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Social Work and Masters Degree is required
  • Preferably with DOH/HAAD License
  • Candidates without license can be considered as long as eligible to get the license
  • With experience in Child Abuse, Policy Making and dealing with the Police Authority
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an appropriate and relevant healthcare setting post qualification is required
  • For UAE Nationals: minimum of two (2) years experience in social work is required and Masters degree in Social work
