Hands-on role leading strategy, origination, execution and ongoing management of project and platform transactions for data centers regionally ? including managing M&A, JVs, Build to Suits and land acquisition transactions
Involvement in other transactions being pursued by P&I Team ? including industrial & logistics and sustainability
Roles and Responsibilities:Context:
Partnerships & Investments (P&I) has a lead role to drive growth and diversification of Aldar Development through transactions and ongoing portfolio management including:
Regional Expansion: focused on UAE, Egypt, KSA and other markets including corporate M&A, land acquisition and development JVs
Asset Class diversification: focused on establishing market-leading regional development platforms for Industrial & Logistics, Data Centers, alternative energy, sustainability, construction technology, agri-tech etc
Income stream diversification: focused on PPP (social infrastructure / accommodation / roads) and developing recurring income assets for Aldar Investment
Aldar Land Bank monetization: through land sales and JVs
Role:Lead role focused on Data Centers and other relevant target sectors to establish market-leading regional portfolios:
Business planning & strategy: Lead strategy and business planning including identifying compatible partners and deal structures
Origination: Lead sourcing of opportunities in line with strategy - develop proposals, undertake investment analysis and obtain Investment Committee approval
Deal Execution: Work with wider P&I team, internal stakeholders and external advisors on transaction management through to successful closure including due diligence, deal structuring, financial analysis and documentation
Ongoing Management of Partnerships: lead role in managing investments and partner relationships post-transaction including involvement in Project Boards
Other: based on capacity ? involvement in other transactions and initiatives being pursued by P&I
The role will evolve over time as growth opportunities emerge requiring flexibility to change in line with overall business priorities. Key requirements include:

RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum 15 years experience in real estate advisory / development / investment including originating and executing relevant transactions
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
Strong regional experience and networks in real estate generally and Data centers specifically
Real estate development and investment experience
Due diligence and transaction structuring
Portfolio management experience post-transaction

Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities with acute attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to build long-term trusted relationships

QUALIFICATION
Relevant Bachelor / Masters Degree; CFA / MBA preferred
