Our client is embarking on a dynamic growth trajectory and is seeking outstanding talent to join them as they prepare for hyperscale.Our client is a first-in-class financial platform that is changing the banking industry across MENA, as a Senior Software Engineer you will get to work on all facets of your products platform area, joining a world class team of engineers, tackling high-priority tasks and addressing complex issues, your projects will include launching new products from scratch whilst optimizing and maintaining their core systems. This unique role offers a chance to learn how to build and scale a business function.What will you be doing

• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance investment solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical
• requirements and deliver on business objectives.
• Ensure the highest standards of software quality, security, and performance.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our platform at the cutting edge.
• Drive agile practices and promote a collaborative, high-energy work environment.
• Focus on best engineering practices for quality, clean code, testing & observability.
• Experience with Large-scale Distributed systems, Microservice architectures.

What key skills will you bring to the team

• Event-driven architectures & DDD - Proficiency in JVM based languages: Java/Kotlin + Spring boot

Experience with:

• CI/CD related technologies such as GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins.
• Containerization with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Queuing and Streaming technologies such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, AWS SQS, RabbitMQ.
• Cloud providers: Azure (preferably), AWS, GCP.
• IaC with Terraform (preferably), Chef, Ansible.
• Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, ELK Stack.

For high-senior positions: tech interviewing, coaching & leaderships skills will be a plus and experience leading and mentoring a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You should apply if you have...

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer in a fintech or related industry.
• Experience with back-end REST API services.
• Ownership, accountability & proactivity - you build it, you own it, you run it.
• Team player with a collaborating, sharing & learning mindset - share your knowledge, we will share ours.
• Strong knowledge of clean coding practices, including object-oriented and event-driven programming
• concepts.
• Strong knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures
• Strong understanding of financial/banking products, trading systems, and financial markets.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
