Job Description

About the Role:Mott MacDonald is looking for a Senior Resident Engineer for the enabling and infrastructure works for a large housing scheme to be developed in Abu Dhabi. Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Assist the Project Director with project management whilst leading and covering all engineering disciplines across the projects requirements, during design and supervision
  • Direct the supervision, coordination, compliance of all works including land development, site improvements and villas construction
  • Monitor progress of the project against the agreed schedule
  • Check the Contractors submission and respond to their request for information
  • Observe site safety procedures and actively monitor and report on contractors safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required
  • Actively monitor the implementation of contractors quality procedures and raise non-conformance reports, as and when required
  • Responding for maintaining and enhancing Mott MacDonalds reputation with the client and developing long term relationships
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to update the client on progress
Candidate Specification
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or any relevant engineering discipline) from an accredited university
  • Demonstrable experience on large villas projects with experience in the UAE and in a similar capacity demonstrable experience of working on the associated infrastructure of villa projects including site improvements
  • Demonstrable and extensive knowledge and experience in the execution of land development works including infrastructure and site improvements
